This package is designed to kick start your business' Health and Safety Program. It includes:
Section 1 - Mandatory Health and Safety Policy Statements
Requirement - The Occupational Health and Safety Act requires that the employer create and post two policies. Health and Safety, Violence and Harassment. These policies are to be reviewed annually, dated and signed by the senior most person in the business.
Deliverable:
1. Health and Safety Policy – Custom / Branded
2. Violence and Harassment Policy – Custom / Branded
Section 2 - Health and Safety Representative
Requirement - For Employers that have 6-19 employees in a workplace, a Health and Safety Representative is required.
Deliverable:
1. An Operating Procedure for the Health and Safety Rep which will include the selection process, training requirements, roles and responsibilities, and inspection requirements.
2. A workplace inspection document.
Section 3 - First Aid
Requirement - Every employer with 5 -15 workers is required to have a defined supply of First Aid equipment, a monthly inspection of the supplies and a person certified in Standard First Aid and CPR
Deliverable:
1. An Operating Procedure covering the mandatory First Aid requirements
2. An inspection checklist for the First Aid supplies
Section 4 - Mandatory Training
Requirement - Every employer must ensure all workers have received training on Worker Health and Safety Awareness, WHMIS, Violence and Harassment
Deliverable:
Provide links to the Health and Safety Awareness training (Free)
Provide recommendations for WHMIS and Violence and Harassment training (these will be at a cost)
